gone fishin'

Not really, though I am "off-island" for the day.

I can't tell you what they're catching off the Goat Island Causeway.

Sometimes, it's squid — not so pretty, I must say,

Although images do lie, i.e., it's beautiful (not at all foggy) today.

And from atop the bridge, when I'm on my way,

I'll be watching for what's passing beneath me on the bay ...

Hope you know that's a joke (poetry-wise) on this fifth morning in May.
